Linking Hearts with God

There is longing and desire in all humans to be whole, which includes being valued, having peace from within, being perfectly satisfied, and having true love. Most of life seems to be spent trying to fulfill this undeniable urge for wholeness. Yet, for most people the emptiness remains. Is there an answer to our heart’s desire for a full and meaningful life?

The Bible records Jesus as saying that He came to give life and to give it to the fullest. He said that He is the true and only way to enter into the place where the longings of the heart can be satisfied. Everything and anything else only robs us of life even though it may promise to give life. Jesus claims that God can and will graciously meet every person’s deepest longing for a complete life. Jesus says He willingly sacrificed His life by dying on the cross so that we might find true life. Hearts linked to God find salvation, which is whole life and eternal life. (John 10)

We at Westlink have found the words of Jesus to be true. When a person turns from sin, which is living as though you can find wholeness without God, trusts Jesus by giving their life to Him, and shares in His baptism is united with the heart of God by His grace of forgiveness and His gift of the Holy Spirit. The journey of wholeness begins.
